Who we are

This website, marblethassos.eu, is operated by Skaris Export Ltd., Amyntas 46, Kavala 65302, Greece. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

The quote request form. When you send us a request we receive your name, your company if you give one, your email address, your telephone number, the country of delivery, the products you are interested in, any quantities or dimensions you provide, your message, and any drawings or photographs you attach.

Email and telephone. If you contact us directly we keep the correspondence and the contact details it contains.

Website statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. See Cookies and embedded content below.

This website has no user accounts, no comments and no online payments. We do not ask for, and have no use for, special categories of personal data.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use the information from the form and from your correspondence for one purpose: to answer your enquiry, work out what the project needs and prepare a quotation. Where that enquiry leads towards an order, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. For general enquiries the basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, Article 6(1)(f).

Website statistics are collected on the basis of your consent, Article 6(1)(a).

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles or to make automated decisions about you.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is read by the people at Skaris Export who handle quotations. Beyond that, personal data may be handled by:

• the company that builds and maintains this website, acting only on our instructions;
• our hosting provider, which stores the website and its email on servers in the European Union;
• Google, for website statistics, for the fonts this site uses and for the map on the contact page;
• Sketchfab, for the 3D model shown on the home page.

Google and Sketchfab may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and the correspondence around them for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off. If an order follows, the commercial records are kept for as long as Greek accounting and tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Cookies and embedded content

This site sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id>. They belong to Google Analytics 4 and are used to count visits and to tell a returning visitor from a new one. They are not used for advertising.

The map on the contact page and the 3D model on the home page are loaded from Google and Sketchfab respectively. When a page containing one of these is opened, the provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Their privacy terms apply to that processing: Google and Sketchfab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of what was done before.

If you believe we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifissias 1–3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
